Hi! I'm Kiki
I believe recipes are more than instructions—they're memories passed around the dinner table.
My mission is to preserve the comfort foods, family traditions, and American vintage recipes that remind us of home. But A Taste of Nostalgia is about more than what's on the table. It's about creating a home where family gathers, traditions are celebrated, neighbors become friends, and everyone feels welcome.
I believe the simple acts of cooking, baking, sharing a meal, and caring for our homes create the memories that last a lifetime. Inspired by the warmth, hospitality, and resourcefulness of the mid-century homemaker, I blend timeless wisdom with modern life. Whether I'm sharing a treasured family recipe, an old-fashioned household tip, or a little vintage advice, my hope is to help you bring more comfort, connection, and nostalgia into your everyday life.
My own story began in a tiny yellow kitchen with 1970s flower-power wallpaper.
I learned to cook standing on an old wooden chair beside my mother, who was formally trained in the culinary arts but devoted her talents to feeding our large family and serving our community. She taught me far more than recipes. As bread baked in the oven and roasts slowly simmered, she shared the stories behind the dishes—where they came from, who first made them, and why they mattered to our family. Long before I understood it, she was teaching me that food is woven into our memories.
Today, I carry those lessons into every recipe, every story, and every page of A Taste of Nostalgia. My hope is that when you visit, you'll find more than something to cook—you'll find inspiration to create traditions, gather the people you love, and make memories of your own.
Every Friday afternoon we visited our local farmers market together, searching for the freshest produce, chatting with growers, and sometimes good-naturedly bargaining over prices. Those sights, sounds, and smells became part of the memories I treasure most. Even today, I still find myself drawn to that same market, reminded that good food begins with good people.
As I grew older, that love of cooking became a career as a private chef, but my passion never changed. I've always believed that breaking bread together is one of the deepest ways we connect with one another. My love of vintage recipes, homemaking, and farm-to-table cooking naturally came together into what you see here today.
I truly can't remember a time when I wasn't in the kitchen. It's where I feel most at home, and it's where I hope you'll feel at home, too.
So pull up a chair, pour yourself a cup of coffee, and stay awhile.
There's always room for one more around the table.

I take the recipes our mothers and grandmothers used, give them my own twist, and incorporate fresh, local ingredients to bring my client's familiar flavors, updated comfort foods, and sweet memories.
